It's Not Complicated’ - ALDI Ireland
ALDI's whole identity used to be refreshingly simple: cheap, no frills, in and out. Then the rest of the Irish grocery market got sophisticated around it, cheesemongers, curated displays, loyalty schemes with more terms and conditions than a mortgage. Aldi slipped down the pecking order.
But rather than follow the herd, we leaned into Aldi’s strengths. People want "the good life", sure, but at a time when costs are genuinely biting, nobody wants to need a maths degree to work out if they're getting a good deal. So instead of trying to out-sophisticate the competition, ALDI went the other way entirely and owned the plain, honest option. "It's Not Complicated" does double duty, it's a value promise and a direct dig at every competitor's unnecessary extras, all backed up by hero-ing something as simple as a tin of organic tomatoes. Because nothing proves you don't need the theatre quite like a product that's just genuinely good.
The campaign is freshly launched, but we’re excited to see and share the results as they come in.
