We enlisted A-list talent Dame Judi Dench and Benedict Cumberbatch for the centrepiece ad, which brings to life the ability humour has to unite us all. ‘Funny is Power’ is about empowering people of all ages to make a difference in people’s lives through humour - and we need that power now, more than ever. We believe anyone can create a smile in their own way and this March 19th, we hope to bring people together (although we may be apart) to use funny as a force for good.
Pablo also helped create some of the content for the Red Nose Day programme, including a crowd sourced segment involving audiences up and down the UK via social media.
Other activations and partnerships included; a partnership with Crown Paints to paint murals of ‘Funny is Power’ across key buildings in London, Manchester, Hull and Brighton; Share a Smile – a campaign aiming to bring more joy to homes across the country by encouraging people to place their favourite joke in their window; An interactive Red Nose map on the CBBC website and social media will show just how smiley the UK has gotten.
And this year saw the launch of the world’s first 100% plastic free noses, which are made from plant-based materials.
We also created an entire brand world, including design identity, logo, iconography and visual assets.
